Oakland International Airport

In 2018, I helped produce a proposal that won High Flying Foods a coveted prize: the chance to transform the entire culinary experience at Oakland International Airport. Over the next five years, the award-winning airport concessionaire tackled both terminals, designing, building, and opening a total of six restaurants. I co-led the branding and design for all six locations, which included signage, menus, uniforms, artwork, and more. I also collaborated directly with a local architecture firm to plan, design, and build out the physical spaces that authentically represent our local brand partners.

We also introduced a brand new space I helped ideate and bring into existence: Oaklandish Coffee Collective, a hybrid coffee shop/retail space that features local roasters and merch from beloved local clothing brand Oaklandish. I worked with Oaklandish to create logos, menus, and branding, including a 22-foot mural that illustrates Oakland's diverse and rich culture, along with the airport's history and influence in the Bay Area.
